Beneath the Surface

It was my second day in Mangawhai Heads, and I decided to hike the Goldschmidt Track, hoping for a panoramic view of the entire beach. Although I'd planned to capture the sunrise, the day turned out to be quite gloomy, shrouded in complete cloud cover. Despite the lack of sunshine, I was still astonished by the beauty of the vista from the top. The layers left by the crashing waves on the ocean's surface were mesmerising, holding my gaze captive.

Printing

Printed on Ilford Fine Art Smooth Cotton Rag Paper (310gsm) with archival pigment inks using a Canon Pro 1000 printer. The listed size refers to the dimensions of the entire paper. The image area itself measures approximately 90% of the total paper size. All prints are hand-signed by Nirmal Perera and sold unframed.
